all freshwater gamefish - an awesome blend of gut wrenching strikes to acrobatic, head-shaking leaps. The Urariquera is home to 20-pound payara lurking in its deep pools and raging
tailwaters. Pirapitinga or "Pacu" of 20 pounds or more provide extraordinary thrills, vicious strikes and powerful runs. Among the world's largest catfish, enormous Jau call the Urariquera
home. The world record was recently shattered here and jau lurking in the Urariquera's depths that may easily exceed 200 lbs. Giant Bicuda, Matrinchao, Piraiba catfish, Piranha, Jundira,
Pescada, and Red-tailed Catfish also lurk in the remote, untouched waters of this powerful, wild river! The Urariquera River Camp is simple, comfortable, efficient and environmentally correct. Anglers enjoy secure,
double-occupancy bungalows, complete with toilet, sink, shower, lights and fans. The Urariquera's cool nights make sleeping in the breezy, screened units a pleasure. Surrounded by the pristine Maraca Island
