Giant Snakehead Camp
Location: Lakes in Thailand & Malaysia Type: Camp
Sawadi Kah means welcome in Thai. You'll hear it often from the moment you arrive in Bangkok, as Thailand's reputation for hospitality is well earned. One of
the world's best-kept fishing secrets, Thailand is home to a tremendous topwater fighter -- the Giant Snakehead. This voracious predator grows up to three feet
long, and ranks among the toughest freshwater sportfish. You begin your adventure at an extraordinary fishing hole about an hour's drive from Bangkok.
Bung Sam Lan Lake is stocked with monstrous Mekong catfish, as well as striped catfish, giant Siamese carp and several introduced Amazon species.
Your snakehead fishing takes place in a beautiful jungle reservoir in either Thailand or Malaysia, depending on the season. These regions are totally wild, with few tourists, only small fishing
villages. Thousands of coves create a perfect habitat for giant, striped and cobra snakeheads, and magnificent jungle perch. You'll stay in a waterfront lodge providing comfortable
accommodations and serving up serving up delicious Asian cuisine. In addition to our exotic angling experience, we offer a special "couples trip" that balances fishing with equal measures of
sightseeing and shopping.
