Rio Agua Boa Lodge
 Location:
Rio Agua Boa, Brazil Type: Lodge
The Agua Boa Lodge is the only "flyfishing only" operation for
peacock bass. This river is ideal for fly fishing because of the water clarity and large numbers of fish. Fifteen pound peacocks are usually landed daily with many 20-plus pound peacocks
possible. Fly fishermen should land 70 to 120 peacocks or more per day for two persons to a boat. Conventional outfits are permitted with swiveled lead and leader to a fly.
Part of a giant reserve, you'll see lots of wildlife, but normally not another person. Best water conditions here are from late October through March. This unbelievably deluxe lodge
features air-conditioned cottage accommodations with queen beds, mini-bar in rooms, wall safe, shower and more. The
lodge also offers limited open bar, satellite TV, 20-meter swim pool, recreation room, movies, daily laundry service and large, separate dining room. Larry sends sample fly patterns and a copy of his
40-page booklet, "Peacock Bass Fly Fishing," free with each booking.
