Location: Remote Rio Negro tributaries, Brazil Type: Lodge
The tingle of adventure begins as your floatplane soars over the magical Amazon rainforest. In the secluded waters below lurks the
world's most exciting freshwater fish- the explosive peacock bass. You'll land in a remote location, where your safari camp awaits. Its mobility is key to adapting to river fluctuation, giving you the
best chance for optimal fishing conditions. Piloting shallow-draft boats equipped with outboards and trolling motors, your Brazilian guide will lead you to tributaries and lagoons inaccessible to others.
It's common to catch two or three dozen peacocks a day, from 3-pound butterflies to 20-pound monsters. Back at camp, you'll enjoy tasty meals and River Plate Anglers' unique cabin barges,
with comfortable beds, reading lights, fans and private bathrooms.
