Panama Canal Fishing

a_CondorPanama_Canal_

Location: Panama Canal, Panama
Type: Hotel

Our Gatun Lake/Panama Canal fishing is an experience of a lifetime for the avid or casual fisherman!

condorOutfitters2Located just 30 minutes from Panama City on the Panama Canal, the massive Gatun Lake is a hotspot for the Peacock Bass as well as Tarpon, Snook and Oscars. Catches of 100 peacocks or more per day are common using top water plugs. Jigs and other artificial lures are very productive and if the fishing warrants or the client prefers, live bait is also available.

Scenic Gatun Lake is a large reservoir which forms a major part of the Panama Canal.  It is not unusual for fishermen to see monkeys, sloths, eagles and other wildlife while casting the waters. The 164 -square-mile lake was created in the early 1900's by the Gatun Dam across the Chagres River.

Each fisherman will be equipped with all of the appropriate fishing gear for the day. We are able to accommodate up to 4 fishermen on our roomy Hurrican Fun Deck boat. Food and beverages are provided while fishing, as are all transfers between your hotel and the Chagress River boat dock where you will meet your guide.

While staying in Panama, your accommodations will be a beautiful four star hotel, and airport transfers are included in our 3-full day fishing package.  Our English-speaking guides know the lake well and where to find the best fishing. For complete details on the package, please visit our website or give us a call. Please ask us about our day rates if you are in Panama for a short time, and our combo fishing packages or touring options.
