Captain Peacock Expeditions - Madeira
Join us for a trophy-class peacock bass trip. The world Record peacock Bass of 28 pounds was taken by one
of our anglers on a Captain Peacock Expedition in 2010.
Captain Peacock operates a 95 ft. luxury yacht that accommodates up to 12 guests per week. The first class
yacht operation provides the mobility necessary for successful peacock bass fishing due to the fluctuating water levels of the Brazil's Amazon. We operate from 24 to 30 weeks per year as it encompassed the southern Rio
Madeira watershed and also the northern Rio Negro later in the year. The yacht can range up and down
tributaries like the Rio Madeira for up to 500 miles with reserve fuel.
 For those anglers wanting to explore a little, we also intend on fishing several new waters in early 2012
Our unique First Class operation, based in the
heart of the Amazon, begins in Manaus, Brazil. Clients then fly by turbo prop charter south to one of the Madeira tributaries in the late summer and
early fall months where they fish for either 4 1/2 or 6 1/2 days, depending on itinerary. The Captain Peacock Expeditions luxury yacht has a staff of 18
people including the manager onboard. The shallow-draft yacht tows 8 fishing boats equipped with 30 hp Suzuki outboards behind it when
running at night. During the day, it also changes locations while anglers are out fishing.
Our English-speaking guides with interesting nick
names such as Blackie, Pineapple, Catfish, French, Danny Boy, Jack and Pancho, are generally rotated daily so that anglers get to fish with all of them.
They have an average of 12 years experience and all will show you a peacock bass fishing adventure of a lifetime.
