The Araca Camp is a African style safari camp on the banks of the Araca River (Rio Negro Basin), north of the city of Barcelos in Amazonas State, Brazil. Strategically located in relation to the best
fishing spots, the six spacious and charming tents with private bathrooms (cold-hot water showers) and comfortable verandahs can accommodate up to 12 guests per stay.
Our experienced local guides drive the Bass Tracker 185 ProTeam boats (90hp engines) throughout Araca River's waters and numerous lagoons, the
habitat of the huge and extremely aggressive Peacock Bass. With its unforgettable white sand beaches, the Araca river is also excellent for fly fishing.
The camp is managed by Eduardo Prada, an experienced fishing host and expert in natural beauties of Brazil and his wife Dominique, who has more than 10 years experience in some of the best hotels of the world.
