 Location: Rios Pasimoni and Pasiba, Amazonas State, Venezuela

 Some of the largest peacock bass on record have come from the blackwater environs of southern Venezuela. The Casiquiare watershed, linking the Orinoco and Rio Negro,
accounts for several IGFA marks and countless tales of adventure. Exploratory trips to its Pasimoni and Pasiba tributaries attract hard-core anglers willing to sacrifice a few
creature comforts for a legitimate chance at an explosive 20-pound pavon. In fact, the camp log doesn't even recognize fish under 10 pounds. Native guides driving aluminum
runabouts will lead you to jungle lagoons and other prime locations. The riverside safari camps offer comfy bed, lighting, kitchen and dining facilities and communications radio.
