I'm about to head out for some fishing down south of Manaus and was wanting a little feedback from you guys who have fished those rivers. All my fishing has been on the Rio Negro system & tributaries.

Anything different to expect? Lure selections and colors pretty much the same? The few people I've talked to either really love it or really hate it.

Am also anxiously awaiting your report!! I believe I will be fishing in this area in late November and will greatly appreciate any feedback, tips, words of wisdom, etc. that you can provide, particularly with regard to water conditions, which lures worked the best and so on.
Since weight limits are always an issue, would like to know your method of travel from Manaus and what restriction there were - for my previous two trips to Brazil, I found it very difficult to determine what to pack and how much!!! Thanks!
