Thanks to a recent email from Dr. Gary Laden, to answer his questions, I
put on my " Lure Research Hat ". Here are some interesting findings.
Neither vendor lists the exact hook size or mfg.

The MegaBait JB-150 is a floating jerkbait, so there is no sink rate.

The weight is 1.5oz total ( MegaBait lists it @ 1.75oz. ).
We stock it mainly because it is heavy ( duty ),
has wire-through design, and large heavy duty hooks.

At a slow or erratic retrieve, it will dive to a depth of 2-3',
with 3' being the maximum listed depth of dive.
I'm sure the "heavy" water in Brazil will cause a very shallow dive.

We currently inventory a minimum of 5 each in all 6 colors.

The Braid Viper is a double-jointed floating jerkbait with an extreme action, available in 5", 7", and 10" versions, and their is no sink rate.

The 5" is in my opinion a little light in design for peacocks,
however it is very well made.
To me, the hooks appear a little small, and it is 1.0oz lure.
The 7" is our biggest seller and is heavier built with larger hooks.
( by hook size . . . smallest is the 5", next is the JB-150, then 7" )
Lure weight is 2.8oz.
Both lures are reported to dive to a maximum depth of 6', but
in that " thick/heavy " Brazilian water, I personally doubt a diving
depth exceeding 5' possible, again, with a slow or erratic retrieve.

The 10" seldom sells, and other than to troll, it is a MONSTER.
If anyone wants detailed info, I will be glad to supply it.
We stock 1 each of 3 colors only.

We currently inventory a minimum ( 5" & 7" )of 3 each in all 10 colors.
