I've been following the water levels alot lately. FYI, levels in Manaus have dropped 32cms in 3 days. That's about 13" or 4.30" per day.
That is an incredible amount of water. So far it looks like it's to be a bumper season if water continues to drop like this. Pray for no more rain!

If it's on, I'm there. Some are suggesting Jan/Feb, still in the 2007/08 season. I have another trip planned in mid Jan, but will make any other time.

Thanks for keeping us all informed of the continued fluxuations.

Although not quite ready to visit Brazil yet myself, I remain optimistic
about a return trip, maybe even as soon as December of 2008.

If you are able to compete in the tournament, good luck to you,
and all the great anglers you will compete with.
