I keep hearing that All Star, in it's titanium series, has 3 piece travel rods. However, I can't find anyone selling them or even any info on the company web site. Is this fact or fiction?

Rick,

When Shakespeare bought out Allstar a couple of years ago, they discontinued their travel rods. Allstar was never big into travel rods anyway. They did make a lot of travel blanks for Rainshadow at that time, and the Rainshadow blanks are still available, although they are built offshore now. If they have started back building them again, I have not heard of this.

I custom build probably the largest assortment of travel rods available, so if you are looking for something specific, shoot me an email. I'm about 40 miles west of you and would be happy to help you out.......

Rick,
I agree with Gary. Dink makes the most beautifully finished custom rods for every situation you could want. He's making me a new jig travel rod as we speak, with handle and grip to my own specifications. You just have to try his gear. Outstanding in every way.
