|This year while fishing the Unini in the first week of November, it seemed the primary pattern for catching the large fish was throwing to the fry balls. There seemed to be no shortage of these during the week, and all seemed to have large fish protecting them which were eager to cooperate.
Don Cutters question in the other section about fishing earlier in the season made me wonder........what "is" the best time of the year for fishing the fry? There also seemed to be quite a few "beds" fanned out in the shallows around the sandbars. Again, what is the prime spawning season for peacocks? My best topwater action was around these beds. I'm assuming these were peacock beds as this is what the guides told me (I wasn't always sure they understood what I was asking).
