Dan Stock is in the hospital. Dan is on the list at Loma Linda for a heart transplant. For those of you that know Dan, you know what a nice gentle human being he is. I worry about whether the water will go down for my fishing trip. I can only image how Dan feels knowing that someone else is going to be faced with tragedy during this Holiday Season in order for him to keep on living. Really puts things in perspective at least for me. Please keep Dan and Heidi in your prayers.

Want to second what Greg said about Dan. I was on a fishing trip with him three years ago and a better person you will not find. Hope everything works out for him cause he is one of the good guys in this sport as well as in life. Hang tough my friend.

Again, I want to second what both Greg and Bobby have to say about Dan. I have known him for several years now - both fishing and working sport shows with him, and he is a true gentlemen in this sport. Our best wishes for him and Heidi - keep the faith and "don't ever give up."

Dan received a new heart on Sunday and Heidi says he is doing good. He woke up but can't speak yet as he is on a ventilator. I will keep you posted!

| i don't know dan but i do wish him the best. my wife, who is a cardiac rehab nurse at massachusetts general hospital and specialises in rehab of cardiac transplant patients tells me that loma linda is as good as it gets and he shold be as good as new before he even realises it. see him next year on the rio negro. |
