There are some more crazy rumors floating around again about the Rio Unini being opened next season. As I have said about every two years for the last 6 or so, I will believe it after the first group gets back from that river with no impediments (legal, policia, conflicts, etc.). And I won't be on that "first" trip back in. These rumors have happened many times over the past several years and always, reality strikes and nothing happens. The river remains off-limits to sportfishermen. Don't hold your breath on these rumors either.

Larry, pretty much agree with every point you make about the annual Unini rumors. Still, I personally am encouraged by the fact that these rumors persist. Hopefully that means some folks are working the system in Brazil and they just might pull it off someday. Having never fished the Unini I would definitely like a legitimate opportunity that meets my criteria. We are Amazanglers , "Hope springs Eternal", but "Buyer Beware".
