The water levels are perfect right now on the Rio Negro and its tributaries. Three outfitters report lots of peacock and a good amount of mid-size fish (10-12#s) and several "teeners" for the past week. Two of them reported no fish over 20#s and the third had 3. The boats/floating camp had a total of 47 anglers aboard. With great water levels, I'm not sure why the super giants aren't active. Top lures last week were jigs and topwaters, both cast and trolled! Some rain on 3 different days and water levels remained steady. |
