Line digging into spool advice needed

So I am a big fan of the new Power Pro Hollow Ace line, but b/c it is a flattish line, it will dig into the spool a bit under pressure when I tie it off and test the drag.

I keep hearing/reading about complaints about line digging into the spool in this way for braided line when it first came out, but less so now as braid is manufactured in a more roundner way. I am not certain that the concern is when drag is applied or when a birds nest occures (or both).

So my question is, so what? If the line digs in, does it damage or tangle the line in some way to cause a bad outcome ... loss of fish, broken line, etc?

Any insights on this would be great, as I have other line options that can include solid braid, but I was hoping not to have to go there.

Thanks.

Don't think the problem is about the line digging in, it is more about the drag not being able to work due to this. If the drag still works don't worry about it in my opinion
