So I am considering a lighter weight duffle bag this trip to check on the plane, but it does not have a locking ability. Am I asking for trouble or do others feel it is low probability to get stuff taken during handling?

| I say take the duffle and forget about it, that's what I do. The most expensive thing they can take is my Boga and Leatherman multi-tool. The rest is easily replaceable in Manaus, if necessary. Many of the camps even provide fishing rods, reels and lures. Check with your outfitter ahead of time. |
