Larry: Heard rumors that 3 different outfitters will have access to 3 different sections on the Unini next year. Any truth to this rumor?
Thanks Bob Cool

After lots of checking I believe the Unini is still a work in process. I would not make any bookings/deposits until your outfitter has indeed seen permits which allow fishermen to enter the Unini. Do want to see anybody get taken or fooled on which river he/she is actually on which has happened to a few in the past!!

I think Bob's second post has it about right. It is very good advice! I would even ask the agent/outfitter for a copy of the permit. Caveat Emptor - Let the buyer beware. We have a short article on this in our March issue of "The World of Peacock Bass" eZine with inside info/commentary.

Larry: A few booking agents claim the paperwork is in order for 6 outfitters to fish the Unini this coming season. I still have my doubts! Have you heard anything new on this? Thanks Bob

Bob,

Haven't heard a new word yet from any of our Supporting Members that can confirm such. I would like to hear what those 6 "outfitters" are saying. As I said, it would be wise to get the documentation that confirms the permits. We will keep an eye out and if anyone knows more, send a private email to me, if you like.
