Larry,
I noticed somewhere you talked about using a particular visa company. Does this visa company have any better luck in getting a 5 year visa and do they charge less than other visa companies because of the pba?
Sean

Sean,

Not sure who is affiliated with pba, but I just rec'd my 5 yr visa this week and used Travisa in Houston. I may have rec'd the 5 yr because of it being a "business visa". I also had a letter from the company I am dealing with in Sao Paulo stating I would be making numerous trips over the next few years.
I am assuming I can use the "business visa" for entry next Feb. on my fishing trip. Does anyone know if this is the case? Dave

Sean,

Just go to our website and click on "NEW! PBA Brazil Visa Kits & Discounted Expediting Service" on the sidebar Or click on this link: http://www.us.cibt.com/tourkits/tourkits.aspx The company CIBT is the largest visa/passport service in the country and provides a discount to all peacock bass anglers using this link (both PBA members and non-members). They normally are able to get 5-year visas, but it always depends on the specific Brazilian Consulate in the regional jurisdiction of the applicant and Consulate staff as to which visa length they give you. No expediter has any more control over that than any other. The PBA Brazil Visa request page at CIBT is set up so that you apply for the Multiple Deparatures (5-year term). Anyone guaranteeing a 5-year visa would not be in business long.

This service is set up for all avid peacock bass chasers, even those going for the first time and not yet addicted!
