My first trip down to Brazil was to the Northeast of Manaus on the Rivers Uatuma and Jatapu. We had a good trip but I never hear anyone speak of these two rivers in any reports. Just wondering if any of you guys have fished these two rivers in the past. The Jatapu from what I've read travels a considerable distance and runs into Indian country that is closed to all. This was the area that got me hooked.

Happy you had a great trip Steve, it will always be in my memory being my first trip down. Thanks for the invite but right now I am pretty much have to be near the cancer center and can't get my doc's permission to let me head south. I never returned to the Jatapu because I found I enjoyed the more remote rivers where you rarely if not ever saw anyone else. Hope your trips are filled with big fish and great companionship, check back when you return.
