Maybe some of you have already seen this but animal planet has a new show called River Monsters. Looks pretty cool. The next show is about the piranaha. After that they have a show about a Killer catfish in the himalayas.

Sean,

The show about the Piranhas was on down here a couple weeks ago. It was pretty informative, but basically confirmed what we all know about piranhas (mostly myths). The interesting thing is most piranhas have more worry about "being" ate, than eating something else. Wish I had some piranha soup for dinner tonite........... :D

Pretty cool show on Arapima on animal planet with the River Monster show. This week has another Amazon related show coming on.
Seems that there alot of really cool amazon shows out there.
Does anyone know of any Amazon shows in the works?
Sean

I recorded on my DVR all 3 of the shows on "River Monsters" that I noticed covered the Amazon. Watched the piranha and arapima (piraracu) shows and they were interesting. I believe that the shows are a little "energized" which makes better TV of course, but they offer some good info and some that we Amazon anglers might refute (as being somewhat exaggerated). A fun watch though. Animal Planet channel may run them again each weekend for awhile and do so in succession, so look for them.
