Water levels in most Rio Negro tributaries are now about perfect! If any outfitter tells you otherwise, check a second source before you reschedule. Of course, conditions can change quickly in some watersheds. If you are just back, let our readers know. My trip to the Marie ending on Dec. 7 found great water levels and good fishing for giants. Check out my log on the pba website for info on my largest caught that week! It is at http://www.peacockbassassociation.com/html/larry_peacock_bass_log.html
