|"The World of Peacock Bass" March-April 2017 Issue is now out. This issue features an Amazon outfitter's interesting observations based on their season's detailed statistics which they share with our readers. The outfitter learned of giant peacock movements during spawning and of the optimal seasonal timing for fishing points, sandbars, etc. PBA members will learn of a great last minute deal to the Colombian Amazon where anglers will catch both peacock and payara on two different watersheds! Members will read about one outfitter equipping his boats and guides with new IGFA measuring devices that provide info vital for world record applications. Our eZine readers will also learn of a new lodge offering by a long-time agent/outfitter and PBA Supporting Member.
There is also my memorial tribute to TJ Stallings of TTI-Blakemore/Daiichi who was a long time friend and Supporting Member of PBA. He will be sadly missed by many. Readers will also learn about the birth of a fly fishing business in the rainforest. There is breaking news of one angling travel outfitter that is again offering a Mexican lake that has just been resurrected. In our mailbag this month, you will read about some new lure colors which aren't sold in the US that one of our traveling anglers found in South America. There is also information on a new World Record payara that was caught in Colombia on a fly and on a new "multi-methods" travel rod (5-optional pieces) that may be of use for anglers flying to South America. All members will also have access to CLUB CONCIERGE, as usual. Enjoy!
