|"The World of Peacock Bass"January/February 2017 Issue is now out. This issue features a great photo of a thousand fry hanging around their parent (for protection) in crystal clear South Florida waters. It was taken by one of the National Geographic Nature Photographers of the year 2016! PBA members will read about the freshwater dolphin increase in Amazon waters and its problematic impact on the peacock bass fishery. Members will also learn about this season's frustrating water level fluctuations in the Brazilian jungle. PBA eZine readers can learn of the two exciting float plane exploratory trips just announced by an Amazon outfitter and of a new possible IGFA World Length Record Arawana. Members will be updated on the South Florida butterfly peacock bass, its range and come-back.
PBA readers will benefit from some important advice regarding your passport and visa protection and planning. Also, another South American outfitter weighed in on the angler impact of La Zona's new golden dorado fishing regulations. In our extensive mailbag this month, members will read about one outfitter's availability at the upcoming Safari Club convention and another PBA Supporting Member's early 2017 show season itinerary. There is news of one of our peacock tackle (and outfitter/agent) members offering new Gift Certificates. Our members will also find info on the deletion of the US - Argentina reciprocity fee and on another new requirement for U.S. Passport photos that is now enforced (as of January 1). All members will also have access to CLUB CONCIERGE, as usual. Enjoy!
