Spoke with a just returned angler today. Fished Rio Cuini from a "Floating Camp". Arrived via floatplane. Water was high upon arrival and continued to rise all week. Eight anglers landed 200 Peacocks for the week. Biggest 13#. What a difference a year makes. Headed back myself in two weeks. Hope Springs Eternal.

Wilson,

I spoke with a couple of anglers on that trip and another, and I heard the waters were high most everywhere and the fishing was very tough for all but a couple of anglers. The Cuini can be a great river when everything are perfect such as water levels, but it is difficult to be there for those 2 or 3 weeks unless you are very lucky. I was once and had my best personal trip ever for peacocks above 15 pounds (in one week).

Best of luck to you on your upcoming trip. Let us know how you do when you return.
