Brazil Consulate Closures In North America Next Week (Report from CIBT)

The Brazil Consulates in the United States and Canada have announced that they expect a labor action next week. This will affect visa processing. "This information is fluid and is expected to change. In the United States the Brazil Consulates in Chicago, Houston and Washington DC are expected to operate normally. The Consulates in Atlanta, Miami and New York will be closed Monday through Wednesday, May 12-14, 2014. The Consulate in San Francisco will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday, May 13-14, 2014. Information about the Consulates in Boston, Hartford and Los Angeles is pending. In Canada the Consulates in Ottawa and Toronto are expected to operate normally. The Consulate in Montreal will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday, May 13-14, 2014. Information about the Consulate in Vancouver is pending.

The CIBT Companies are working diligently to notify travelers whose trips are impacted by these unexpected closures. Our Visa Experts are available to assist our customers. We are monitoring this dynamic situation closely and will update our clients as conditions warrant."
