I am just back from the Rio Negro and can report that at the end of the week, the tributaries from Rio Paduari downstream to Barcelos are perfect. The Cuini was just 2 feet high and fishing tough but should be perfect now if rains have not hit the area. We had NO rain last week and the waters fell maybe a total of two feet or a little more. Fishing was good for numbers and big fish and more on that later in another post.

I also was told that the Rio Caures was perfect and fishing good. Didn't learn anything about waters close to Santa Isabel but suspect waters have fallen to a fishable condition.
