From what I'm hearing, the upcoming peacock bass "season" should be very strong. Some outfitters are reporting much better booking levels this year than in the last couple. There seems to be some pent-up demand in play from those that may not have been for a year or two. Some outfitters report that the majority of their week-long tours are full and not many openings exist for groups of 4 or more anglers traveling together.
As is normally the case, there are a few rescheduled trips on the fall books but the picture looks brighter for some outfitters and agents. Those not signed up yet may want to soon figure out when and where they want to go this season. Of course, the PBA website is the place to check out the options. Go to our Destinations/Trip Guide in our online World Peacock Bass Directory for info. See http://www.peacockbassassociation.com/html/directory.html . |

Larry:
Maybe all our collective optimism will result in a stellar season...I'm going with it. |

Rick,
There are some interesting things projected to happen this year that I'm not at liberty to discuss. If 2/3 of the planned things happen, it should provide a real boost to avid peacock bass chasers. Obviously, when the news breaks and some things are "official", then PBA members will learn of it through our monthly eZine, "The World of Peacock Bass" at http://www.peacockbassassociation.com/html/newsletter_world_of_peacock_ba.html. Stay tuned because we should have several releases within the next few months! |
