Just back earlier in the week from an Amazon trip. Tough fishing but I was lucky enough to catch a couple of giant peacock on topwater plugs on my last day on the water. I'll be doing an article on the trip and will let all know when that is out, but for some brief details including lure, outfitter, location info and catch photos of the two monsters, visit my log on our website at http://www.peacockbassassociation.com/html/larry_peacock_bass_log.html The image below is of my SMALLER (of the two) peacock which was a dark 22-pounder. See the BIGGER one on my log page and its a BEAUTY! A friend tossing a jig also caught a 21 pounder that day and on another day had a 17, 18 and 19 pounder on the same bait. Our group of 8 had 9 other peacocks 17pounds or bigger during the six days of fishing. Water levels were 3 to 5 feet over ideal conditions, in my opinion.
