I used to have a Pfleuger President, but I gave it to friend because my line was more prone to twist when I had a full spool. It was very light weight, but I didn't like it as much as the Shimano Stradic 3000.
I have finalized my line/spool set-ups

I will have 4 reels, all Shimano Scorpion DC7s.

Woodchopper reel:
90 total yards
- 50 yards of 40lb (65 lbs ABS) Power Pro Hollow Ace spliced to
- 40 yards of 80lb (128 lbs ABS) Power Pro Hollow Ace

Spook reel:
90 total yards
- 50 yards of 40lb (65 lbs ABS) Power Pro Hollow Ace spliced to
- 40 yards of 80lb (128 lbs ABS) Power Pro Hollow Ace
I have been able to work the spook just fine with the 80lb, so might as well just go with it

Jerkbait reel:
100 total yards
- 50 yards of 40lb (65 lbs ABS) Power Pro Hollow Ace spliced to
- 50 yards of 60lb (85 lbs ABS) Power Pro Hollow Ace

Jig reel:
115 total yards
- 115 yards of 40lb (65 lbs ABS) Power Pro Hollow Ace

I am going with what others have stated ... smaller line for subsurface lures, the smallest for the jigs.

Even with Peacocks in the high teens (and one 20+lber that threw the hook), none of us even were close to getting spooled. Long runs we guessed were 20 yards or so after the strike. I think 80 yards would be sufficient the bulk of the time unless you wanted to catfish with the same set-up.
