Would especially like to check out the system on Google earth or other satellite imagery, but have no idea where it is.

It may be the Rio Tupana which is in the Madeira system.

Like a few other "publicized" or "made-up" names of rivers or lagoons in the Amazon, this one is probably called such by an outfitter. Some outfitters/agents regularly employ made-up names for an area or location that they would like to keep publicity to a minimum. They want to deter additional boat/fishing traffic on these waters. Sometimes, the outfitter just wants an easier name (than a Indian name) to remember and/or pronounce. An example, in FL, we call Lake Tohopekaliga simply "West Lake Toho" (there is an East Lake Tohopekaliga) and Lake Okeechobee simply "Big O". My top spot for giants on the Rio Negro watershed: "Lago de Larry"

Pretty sure I have the right area, but in the zoom in you can see two Rio Tucanas on the same system.

Zoom out w/ Manaus (Rio Tucano is "D"):

Art: Believe the Rio Tucano is near the Rio Arara which are south of the Unini and eventually hooks into this river. Cool
