Woodchopper double props and going w/o the rear hook?

So Bob Daly has inspired me to think about surface lure parts now ... I just received about every prop type and size from lurepartsonline.com that is offered.

So, I tried making a double prop with the largest blades offered and WOW, what a racket it makes ... BUT due to the weight, I either have to go with a super small treble hook or none at all on the end of the lure to make it work.

Larry has stated in other post that he rarely hooks up with the rear hook anyway, so what do people think? Are you better off with a crazy loud woodchopper in your arsenal w/o a rear hook or just go with traditional set-ups (like maybe just one oversized prop).
