Consensus is that line color does not matter. However, there are some stories of guides coloring faded line for anglers while on the water.

I personally will be using brown (for the tannin in the water) , that I am dying myself using a simple permanent marker of the last 20 yards or so of my white line. White packs on more line on the spool, and that is what I need.

Green would likely be next best color if color has any impact.

Bron,

For my braids, I use hi-vis (bright) yellow and hi-vis fluorescent green. Peacocks don't care about line color in my opinion.
