I can see how that could increase hang-ups, but I did have a few short strikes this year, so thought it might be a good idea. Thoughts?

I know a guy that tried it on my last trip to the Amazon and he caught almost twice as many peacocks as others using the jig without the trailer hook! It really works.

I always use trailer hooks on jigs and plastic swimming minnow type lures. Believe they really increase the percentages of good hook sets. Cool
