Just back from a week on the Rio Negro. Water is high both directions from Barcelos and fishing was slow. I was able to catch a 25.3 pound monster peacock though (that made my trip). More details on the giant and location are in my updated Log at http://www.peacockbassassociation.com/html/larry_peacock_bass_log.html Check it out.

Nice fish Larry, I'll be heading back in December and hopefully water levels will be down. Rolling Eyes

The guides all seemed to think that the river would fall about 4-6 feet by the first of to mid-November (and be fishing very good). Of course, it all depends on the rain in the watershed. 8)
