| Has anyone fished the Rio Unini in late November? My trip just got reshuffled to the last week in November. |

Rick,
I fished it in early November last year, and it was phenomenal. Tons of spawning fish and fryballs. |

I'm not sure what river we will be on yet (you never know for sure with River Plate) but am looking forward to getting back to the Amazon. Remember, we don't leave any fish for the others, there all ours! Well, maybe a few!  )

Especially to Rick, Ron, Alan, RL, and other peacock purists.
I feel certain that most peacock anglers will agree, the MONTH is not nearly as relevant as is the water level. The rising or receding water levels seem to be the MOST important factor in catching on the Unini,
as well as surrounding rivers and lagoons.
The bite seems to have changed in the past few years, and many of you
have had more success with subsurface lures, despite the AWESOME thrill of a topwater explosion. NOTHING can compare to a huge peacock
devouring a surface bait.
You are the client, but respect the knowledge of your guides.
I envy your time on the Unini, but one day soon, I hope to join any/all of
you to pursue my passion. |

Thanks for preliminary read on the Unini. If I wasn't already excited enough about the November trip, you managed to amp it up a notch or two. After fishing high water on the Rio Demeni (still a great trip) in '06, I am looking forward to staying out of the trees and hooking up with some larger fish this time around.
