The water levels have started to drop at Manaus. I have a high listed on 6/27/07 at 28.18. Today it is 28.05, so this may be the start of falling water. I know this does not accurately predict the water levels in the river basins but they have been a guide to tell when the water starts dropping.

Well the site that I used to get my water levels changed their format and now it is not shown. As a couple days ago the level at Manaus had fell to 27.12. It is gradually coming down.

Bobby,

The present water level in Manaus is 26.25 M. I got that of the WWW.jcam.com.br website.

Greg,
I went back to my old site and they do have it posted just down the page from where it was before. From all I can tell right now from looking at past years it looks like it is a pretty much normal year for that total. The faster the water lowers at Manaus the quicker the tributaries will fall, of course that is if there is not a lot of rain going on in isolated regions north and west of Manaus.
