Has anyone tried vibrators or 'chatter baits?

I found a company that makes them specifically for peacocks with beefed up hardware (e.g. 80 lb clips). I been using Booyah's regular version successfully for bass and can really make them dance with a little rod action, but no sense in springing for them if someone's expereince says other wise.

Rick can't be much help with your question, I did carry a few down last season but never got around to using them. I changed out the front hardware because I didnot think it would hold up to the peacock's strike. Were did you find the peacock version, would think they would draw the interest of feeding peacock. Good luck.

That's the place Larry. Unless I hear other wise I'll take a few down and see how they work (and hold up).

On another note, I've been in contact with Steve Levad (www.slevad.com) who is tying some 6" 1/2 oz jigs on a 3X hook for a very reasonable price.
