| Looking for any info that any of you world class travelers might have on this fish. My group of Peacockers are looking for a good summer alternative trip. Long plane flight for sure, but those dudes are BAD looking. Thanks Rick Grover |

Rick,
Contact Alex Julius at the following email: alex@hotspot.com.au He is in Darwin, Australia and has a fishing tour company that offers the New Guinea Bass (I haven't fished them). He is a good source for Barramundi (a great fish that I have caught) in the Northern Territory also. Tell him Hi for me and that I suggested you email him. He is the regional expert over there. |

Rick,
How about some neat Tiger fishing in Namibia. I have a good contact for some great lure and fly action on the Chobe, off the Zambezi. Great game viewing too and very comfortable lodge. I was there in July. A bit chilly at night but great during the day. Email me if you're interested.
Also, top-end Oz Barramundi fishing out of Darwin. Check out Dan's Fishing Adventures www.dansfishingadventures.com.au
I caught a 1.2m beauty +/- 30# last May along with a bunch of big Jewfish on the reef. I also have a close contact for some new Peacock and other varieties, fishing in the Southern Amazon area during our Summer, (can't disclose the name of the river yet) which I will know more about when I go to Brazil next week. If anything comes of it, I'll let you all know then.
Another great location is Lake Nasser for Giant Nile Perch (up to 250#!!). Again, email me if your interested and I'll get the contact for you.

| and I will definatly look into all the options. The camp in New Guinea that we have looked into is on the island of New Britain as the "word" is that the mainland rivers on Papau N.G. are not safe for fishermen. Larry I will send a e-mail to Alex today. Thanks Rick G. |
